ADA Accessible Seating
The Apollo’s Historic Theater has 12 wheelchair seating locations in the Orchestra available for every show. Each seating level is accessible via the elevator, but the Mezzanine and Balcony may require walking.
ADA Restrooms
There are three public ADA compliant unisex restrooms located in The Apollo’s Historic Theater lower lobby and two in the Soundstage lobby on the third floor.
Service Animals
There are no pets allowed inside The Apollo with the exception of service dogs. A service dog is one that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, but not a dog whose sole purpose is to provide comfort or emotional support (a therapy dog). Therapy dogs are not permitted, even with a doctor’s note.

Gallery Opening & Talk Back
Experience a powerful exploration of music, art and cultural liberation with Got The Power Boomboxes: Sugarcane and Cotton by renowned installation artist Bayeté Ross Smith.
Engage with a dynamic soundscape featuring freedom songs cherished by residents, their stories, and historical insights about the impact of the sugar and cotton industries on our present and future. These two sculptures continue the conversation about preserving our nation’s history and its broader significance.
Following the gallery opening October 8, 2024 at 6:30pm in The Apollo’s Laura & Frank Baker Gallery, stay for an intimate talkback at 7:30pm with creator Bayeté Ross Smith.

Amateur Night at The Apollo sponsored by Coca-Cola, is hosted by the comedian Capone. Each show begins with a festive pre-party featuring video and music by DJ Jess and Set It Off Man Greginald Spencer. Keep a lookout for C.P. Lacey, the resident Executioner who sweeps bad talent off the stage!
Presented in partnership with Bob Sumner (producer of Def Comedy Jam, creator of Laff Mobb on Aspire), the Apollo Comedy Club celebrates these rich comedic roots with an evening of comedy on the Apollo’s Stages at the Victoria to serve as a late-night hotspot featuring the best emerging talent in comedy today.
The Apollo has a long history of launching the careers of countless legendary artists and performers in a variety of genres, including comedy. Comedic legends Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx, Monique, Jamie Foxx and Jackie Mabley (a.k.a. Moms) have all delighted audiences from the Apollo stage.
Singer, songwriter and vocal extraordinaire Dre Scot opens the Apollo Music Café season in its new space. It’s a roof-raising celebratory night as the American Idol alum delivers a soulful evening of songs – including his newly released single “Anticipation”.
Join us as two-time GRAMMY -nominee, singer, songwriter, producer, Eric Roberson takes The Apollo stage for a special one-night-only concert. The 20-year independent artist brings his “Honest Music” back home to the tri-state off the heels of his most recent release “You”. Lauded by artists like Jill Scott and DJ Jazzy Jeff, Roberson has been widely regarded as the “King Of Independent Soul/R&B”, consistently pulling back the veil of the music industry and sharing his creative processes, inviting his fans to be part of “The Process”. With 13 solo albums under his belt built with the support of his fans, this will be a night of R&B you don’t want to miss.
