The Web and Digital Marketing Manager will be primarily responsible for updating, maintaining and developing The Apollo website with a focus on user experience (UX) and engagement. Additionally, the role will assist the Marketing and Communications department with email marketing,digital marketing strategy and will also manage ad-hoc marketing projects for its multiple venues.

Website Management

  • Use content-management system (CMS) to create and update pages and sections of the site, perform the production and day-by-day maintenance of apollotheater.org working cross-departmentally to ensure timely updates.
  • Monitor and test new website pages to ensure that they are displaying properly, following UX design best practices, and providing an optimal experience across devices.
  • Ensure that pages adhere to brand guidelines and meet communications and SEO goals and complies with Web Accessibility Content Guidelines.
  • Manage multiple projects and monitor timelines in the publishing process to meet project deadlines.
  • Research, analyze, and distribute reports tracking web traffic and audience engagement to help make informed decisions about content and marketing.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Apollo team, the web design agency and digital consultants for website maintenance, website updates, bugs and other website related issues.
  • Identify emerging behaviors and technologies; share updates on trends and recommendations for website improvement now and into the future.

Digital Marketing Responsibilities

  • Serve as a project manager for ad-hoc marketing projects including creating budgets, developing and maintaining project plans, cross-functional resources, stakeholders, timelines, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support the Digital Marketing Director in developing and serving paid social media ad campaigns
  • Support the MarComm team with email marketing campaign strategy and execution
  • Attend brainstorming sessions, research and help select marketing and content technologies that will best help serve The Apollo.

Other Marketing Responsibilities

  • Assist with any on-site advertising and promotional strategies at the different Apollo venues.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects as directed.
  • 2-3 years of experience in web development, digital marketing and growth marketing tools; you deeply understand marketing principles.
  • A passion for arts and culture.
  • High-level command of  WebFlow, WordPress, and comparable content management systems.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Working knowledge of Facebook Business Manager, Ads Manager, Google Search Console, Google Grant, Tag Manager and GA4 Analytics dashboard.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, Premiere Rush, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite and comparable graphics and video editing tools.
  • Previous experience with Tessitra and Prospect2 a plus.
  • Advanced attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills leveraged to investigate and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines consistently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management, critical thinking, presentation, written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity working effectively as part of a team with the ability to interface between technical and non-technical colleagues and partners.
  • Action-orientated and entrepreneurial work style, with the ability to work independently to initiate and complete tasks.
  • Experience with managing digital projects, especially the design and development of websites.
