Presented in partnership with Bob Sumner (producer of Def Comedy Jam, creator of Laff Mobb on Aspire), the Apollo Comedy Club celebrates these rich comedic roots with an evening of comedy on the Apollo’s Stages at the Victoria to serve as a late-night hotspot featuring the best emerging talent in comedy today.

The Apollo has a long history of launching the careers of countless legendary artists and performers in a variety of genres, including comedy. Comedic legends Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx, Monique, Jamie Foxx and Jackie Mabley (a.k.a. Moms) have all delighted audiences from the Apollo stage.

The biggest stars in comedy come together for one night only to pay tribute to comedy icon, Joan Rivers, benefiting her favorite charity, God’s Love We Deliver.

This can’t-miss event will feature an all-star cast, including appearances by: Sandra Bernhard, Rachel Brosnahan, Michelle Buteau, Nikki Glaser, Matteo Lane, Patton Oswalt. Randy Rainbow and Jeff Ross.

Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jordan Hawkins lights up the night with a red-hot mix of R&B and rock & roll. His mastery of the guitar, versatile vocals and rock star prowess evokes the spirit of Prince with a nod to Kravitz. Bronzeville The Musical is a thought provoking, soulful musical about a father who guides his wayward son on a journey of his ancestral history. In efforts to inspire his son to accept his greatness, he is challenged with this task in the midst of the great migration. This play revolves around redemption, faith, legacy and courage of a people.

The Harlem Holiday Lights celebration offers an unforgettable experience for people of all ages.  Every year,  community groups and merchants throughout Harlem host in-store activities and promotions, as well as outdoor activities, to celebrate Harlem’s culture and the start of the holiday season.  The event takes place along 125th Street, and stretches from Fifth Avenue to Marginal Street on the East River. From karaoke and trivia to the Parade of Lights and giveaways, this event offers something for everybody.

For the first time, this series comes to life on the legendary Apollo stage to present stars from the worlds of hip-hop, rock, R&B, and pop for an unforgettable night of music and conversation.
