Interns will learn about the impact of arts administration on live and recorded productions at the Apollo. Interns will also develop a concept for our signature summer event, Teen Takeover. Workshops and required work will be delivered on-site at the Apollo Theater for the majority of the internship.
This internship will teach you how to develop an event through the administrative lens of these departments: Marketing, Programming, Digital Production, Development, Education, and Community Outreach.
This is a paid opportunity. Interns will be assigned to work with Apollo arts administrators for nine (9) weeks to learn how to develop meaningful events and programs.

THIRD WEEK OF MARCH: Group Interviews Group interviews will occur during after school hours, Tuesday and Wednesday; March 14 & 15.
TUESDAY, MARCH 21: Mandatory Parent/Guardian Orientation for accepted applicants. Mandatory Parent/Guardian Orientation for accepted applicants. If accepted to the program, you will be required to attend this orientation with a parent or legal guardian.
TUESDAY, MARCH 28: The 2023 Administrative Internship Program begins. The 2023 Administrative Internship Program begins on Tuesday, March 28th and continues for nine (9) weeks through Thursday, June 1st. Only applicants who can commit to attending the entire program will be considered.

Four wheelchair seating locations will be reserved until the day of each performance.Each seating level is accessible via the elevator inside The Apollo’s Historic Theater. Guests should be aware of the small steps leading toward the Mezzanine and Balcony seating levels. Depending on the guest’s ticket location for these two levels, additional walking may be required. If guests are not able to travel up and down steps, tickets for events should be purchased for the Orchestra level.
