Join The Apollo and the Black theater community on Monday, January 20th, 2025 for a FREE staged reading of Jordan E. Cooper’s six-time Tony nominated play, Ain’t No Mo'. Featuring the original Broadway cast with direction by Stevie Walker-Webb, this reading is a community call to action and a moment to lean in to our collective work of championing arts and culture with renewed vigor.
Ain’t No Mo' is a poignant satire set in an alternate present where the United States government has put forward a program to buy every Black person in America, who wishes, a one-way ticket to Africa. Following the reading, stay for a post-show talkback and community call to action. Space is limited and seating is first come, first served. RSVP to reserve your ticket.
